Historical Background

Odu'a Investment Company Limited was incorporated in July, 1976 to take over the business interest of the former Western State of Nigeria, now Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The company commenced business on the 1st of October, 1976. ODU'A INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED since inception, has been operating as a conglomerate with over 70% of her business as investment/joint ventures with reputable multinationals.
Investments within the Group at its inception covered a wide spectrum of economic activities, viz; integrated textile mills, breweries, commercial banking, insurance business, real estates, livestock rearing, fisheries services, carbonated drinks, food and beverages industries, manufacturing in chemical and mechanical industries, hotel and catering, vehicle distribution, bottling and marketing of liquefied petroleum gases, printing and publication.

Apart from investments in limited liability companies, Odu'a Investment Company Limited also owns substantial properties in choice locations in the Ikeja residential/Industrial Estates and Apapa in Lagos State as well as a number of residential and commercial properties in Ibadan including the Aje House. It also has investments in properties in various parts of the Country.

The Company Today

The company is today run as an independent private commercial venture by an independent Board of Directors comprising seasoned professionals with vast experience in business and human resources management. The policies formulated by the versatile Board are translated into action by an Executive Management team comprising high-flying and accomplished professionals.
As a dynamic conglomerate, Odu'a Investment Company Limited continues to make forays into new, profitable ventures that will not only give returns on her shareholders investments, but create employment opportinities for our young and bright graduates of various disciplines. In line with this posture, Odu'a Investment Company Limited through her subsidiary, Odu'a Telecomms Limited (Odu'aTel) now trading as O'net, bidded and won a fixed wireless license in 2002 from the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to provide telecommunication services from Oyo, Ogun Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States to the rest of the world.
Other new areas of business which ODU'A has ventured into include Equipment Leasing. The company registered an investment vehicle called, E and O Power and Equipment Leasing Company Limited that engages in the leasing and sales of power, cooling and high agric equipment.
In the insurance sector, ODU'A limited has diluted her interest in Great Nigeria Insurance Company Limited through Initial Public Offer (IPO) with the view to enlarging the ownership and increase the share capital of the company in line with the requirements of the regulatory authorities.
The company is currently repositioning its hotels by pathering with Technical Investment with the aim to branding them into world-class acceptable standard.

Odu'a Farms and Services

Odu'a Farms and Services (ODUFAS), is being repositioned to take advantages of its 50,000 hectares of farmland (Arable and Paddocks) to provide food security. We are also partnering with foreign farmers/investors to improve the scale of operations in Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo and Osun States.
Foreign investors/technical partners are also engaged in regular talks with the company concerning expansion programmes of her subsidiaries namely: Cocoa Industries Limited, Ikeja, Lagos, Askar Paints (Nig) Limited, Ibadan, Odu'a Printing and Publishing Company Limited, Ibadan, Epe Plywood Industries Limited, Epe Lagos and Fisheries Services Limited, Ijora, Lagos.
